Field Trips
A field trip to the Mississippi Children’s Museum – Meridian (MCM-Meridian) is a wonderful way to make hands-on connections to classroom concepts.
We aim to provide valuable and unique educational experiences that promote inquiry-based learning through our exhibit galleries and programs.
Add-On Programs
Add an enriching, hands-on program to your field trip visit! These instructional programs are 30-minutes long and take place within your 2-hour field trip time.
Please note: There is a $3 per child additional charge to add a program to your field trip.
Coding Program
Learning the basics of coding is a fun way to develop your students’ digital literacy and problem-solving skills. During this hands-on program, your students will learn how to code with interactive robots!
Students: Up to 75

Literacy Program
Complete an activity based on grade-appropriate text as students extend comprehension skills and assist in developing a lifelong love of reading.

STEAM Program
Explore science, technology, engineering, art, or math (STEAM) concepts through an engaging grade-appropriate activity! Studying anything in particular? Let us know and we will curate a program just for your students.

Ready to Book a Field Trip to MCM-Meridian?
Be sure to review our group rate requirements and FAQ below before booking.
Here’s what you need to know before booking:
- You must have a group of at least 15 children.
- We require a 1:5 ratio of adults to children. One adult for every five children will receive free admission. Additional adults are eligible for the $5.00 group rate if their payment is made with the group.
- We are accommodating to all! If someone in your group has special needs, please contact the museum in advance with any special requests to help facilitate your visit.
