Reach Out and Read

Reach Out and Read

The Mississippi Children’s Museum extends its work in early childhood development through a partnership with Reach Out and Read and Children’s of Mississippi!

Reach Out and Read is a national nonprofit that supports healthy early parent-child relationships through shared reading. During routine well-child visits, Reach Out and Read medical providers discuss with parents and caregivers how to use books to engage with their children, and supplies age-appropriate books to take home and read with their family.

Our initiative, Talk from the Start, shares a harmonious mission focused on influencing early childhood development in children from birth to five years old. Through this partnership, these two programs will work to further this mission together.

Please partner with us to bring the gift of literacy to a child in Mississippi!

All designated gifts to MCM’s Reach out and Read initiative will support book funding and assist MCM in managing and expanding the program.
