Mississippi Children's Museum

Reopening Information

Dear Friends of MCM,

We sincerely appreciate your generous and sustaining support over the past few months.  It has meant the world to us to hear how much you value our institution, our work, and what we are doing in our community.  As we navigate the changing realities of the pandemic, we are committed to safely remaining open this summer and wanted to share with you our updated policies and procedures for our members and guests.

Beginning Friday, July 3rd our new policies will include:

  • All adults must wear a mask by ordinance of the City of Jackson. The museum will have masks available.
  • Members and guests will no longer be required to reserve tickets in advance online, but will instead be able to purchase tickets at the front desk. We will continue to limit occupancy. Play times are 9am-noon and 1-5pm Tuesday-Saturday and 1-6pm on Sunday.
  • Extra staff has been brought in to clean and sanitize all exhibit spaces and props throughout the day in addition to our deep clean and prop switch out from 12-1 Tuesday-Saturday and upon closing each day. Safety of our visitors and staff continues to be our highest priority!

We know this has been a stressful and disruptive time in the lives of our children. Our team has worked incredibly hard to ensure children can enjoy and regain some of the fun and educational opportunities that are important parts of their childhood experiences.

Hope to see you at the museum!

Most gratefully,

Susan Garrard
