June 24 to 28 – Art around the World Camp
In this MCM camp we will look at famous art works and techniques from around the world. Spain’s Pablo Picasso’s Upside Down man will show us shapes and angles. American Georgia O’Keeffe will allow us to study the blending of color. Join us for a globe trekking week that includes Japanese origami and African tribal masks.
July 8 to 12 – NASA Astro Camp® – Registration Full
Astro Camp® 2019 is “Warp Speed” themed. This Camp will provide opportunities for learners who are eager to discover, and ready to begin the great adventure of exploring the universe! Activities will capitalize on NASA’s unique assets and content and inspire future astronauts and engineers to learn about space. (This is the first offering of two identical sessions.)

July 15 to 19 – Silly STEM CAMP – Registration Full
Do you think science is cool? MCM’s Silly STEM Camp is for you. In this camp, we’ll explore some physical and chemical change phenomena, get a little messy, as well as answer a variety of the questions we so often wonder about. If you would like to know – why the sky is blue, or if square bubbles are possible, you should plan to join us this week.

July 22 to 26 – Camp Backyard
Agriculture, underground Mississippi, and plants in the Literacy Garden are the focus during Camp Backyard. Camp Backyard gives campers the chance to study a strawberry’s DNA, classify different types of plants, and take home a few ideas that make our everyday life a little greener. Growing produce, the chemistry of food, the water cycle, forestry, fishing and much more will make for an exciting week.
July 29 to Aug 2 – NASA Astro Camp® – Registration Full

Activities will capitalize on NASA’s unique assets and content and inspire future astronauts and engineers to learn about space. (This is the second offering of two identical sessions.)
Children ages 5-10 are welcome to participate in our week long camps. Tuition and supply fee for all camps is $225 per child for non-members and $200 per child for members. Included in camp fees are supplies for activities and experiments, morning and afternoon snack, and standard daily museum admission and programs.
Campers may arrive as early as 7:30am and stay until 5:00pm. A fee of $1 per minute will be accrued for children at MCM after 5:00 PM. Previously there was a $10.00 aftercare charge for any children staying after 3:00pm. This fee was eliminated in 2019.
Lunch is not provided in standard tuition cost. Lunch for your camper can be preordered through the Red Rocket Cafe at MCM on a weekly or daily basis. Brown bag lunches are welcome! Daily lunch cost is $5.35, if you prefer paying for the whole week, lunch is $26.75.
