Corporate Giving:

The Mississippi Children’s Museum (MCM) and Mississippi Children’s Museum – Meridian (MCM-Meridian) rely on the generosity of funding partners to be able to:

  • Implement exciting inquiry-based programs
  • Enhance and develop exhibits
  • Host traveling exhibitions
  • Reach underserved audiences
  • Support our mission and growth

Sponsorships provide crucial funding which allows the museum to continue to offer unparalleled experiences to thousands of visitors annually!

Program Support

MCM & MCM-Meridian’s educational programs and special events complement our exhibits and offer hands-on, inquiry-based learning experiences for all our guests. MCM & MCM-Meridian’s educational initiatives focus on the cultural arts; literacy; health and nutrition; science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics (STEAM); and Mississippi heritage.

Exhibit Support

MCM & MCM-Meridian continues to grow and evolve as a signature attraction in Mississippi and serves as a cultural and educational resource for the entire state. To continue this success, it is critical to invest in renewing and expanding our place-based experiences through the enhancement of permanent exhibits, hosting traveling exhibitions, and maintaining a high-performance standard for all features within the museum.

Outreach Support

MCM & MCM-Meridian is committed to serving children, families, and educators throughout Mississippi. To have a meaningful impact, this requires reaching outside of the physical walls of our museums in Jackson and Meridian.  MCM & MCM-Meridian continues to work toward developing and implementing outreach programming, traveling exhibits, and pop-up experiences to take to other parts of the state.

Fundraiser Sponsorships

Attending a fundraising event is a wonderful way to get involved with MCM & MCM-Meridian, support a worthwhile cause, and have fun all at the same time! Annual fundraisers are planned and hosted by MCM Partners & MCM-Meridian Partners.

INSPIRE A CHILD ANNUAL FUND:

MCM-Jackson & MCM-Meridian

The Inspire a Child Annual Fund provides critical funding for museum operations including ongoing exhibit and program needs. Currently, admission sales only account for about 29% of the museum’s overall operating budget. The museum’s operating costs, which stand at approximately $23 per person, far exceed the amount charged for admission for visitors ($10) and students on field trips ($5). It is a priority for MCM and MCM-M to keep the cost of admission low because we firmly believe this investment is vital in reaching children from all backgrounds and encouraging them to discover and achieve their potential. Our museums rely on the generosity of donors to be able to provide the most unparalleled experiences imaginable!

FORGET-ME-NOT FUND:

MCM-Jackson

The forget-me-not flower is often given as a sign of faithfulness and enduring love. The Junior League of Jackson (JLJ) established the Forget-Me-Not Fund, a building reserve fund, to ensure that the Mississippi Children’s Museum will endure as an educational and inspirational resource for generations of children to come. The Forget-Me-Not Fund enables MCM to maintain our treasured exhibits now and into the future and continue in our mission of encouraging children to learn through play.

PLAYING FOR KEEPS RESERVE FUND:

MCM-Meridian

The Playing for Keeps Fund is a reserve for the Mississippi Children’s Museum – Meridian (MCM-Meridian) to sustain its mission now and into the future as an educational and inspirational resource for generations of children to come. This fund allows MCM-Meridian to meet ongoing needs for the improvement of the physical campus and its exhibits. Based on benchmarking from other children’s museums, MCM-Meridian’s exhibits can expect to have an approximate lifespan of seven to ten years. The Playing for Keeps Fund will provide critical aid for exhibit repairs and refurbishments as need arises. The support granted by this fund will fully equip us to nurture healthy, educated, and imaginative children that will become our next generation of creative thinkers and doers.
