DESCRIPTION:Spotter’s Splash & Dash\nJoin us on Saturday\, May 2 for MCM’s very own Fun Run down Spotter’s Trail! Race to the finish line\, then celebrate your victory with a refreshing splash at our splash pad! Following Splash & Dash\, each child participant will receive a superhero mask & cape to wear during SUPER-lympics\, so get ready to run\, splash\, and unleash your inner superhero! \nWill you be joining us afterward for SUPER-lympics? Don’t forget to bring a change of dry clothes so you can explore the museum! \nSchedule of Events:\n7am: On-site registration opens\n8am: Spotter’s Splash & Dash begins!\n9am: MCM opens and activities will happen on our splash pad for all of the dash participants\n10am-3pm: Regular special event activities inside the museum \nRegistration Details: \n$20/Child Member & $10/Adult Member\n$25/Child Non-Member & $15/Adult Non-Member \n*Please note: Prices increase for walk-in registration. \nRegistER Here!\n

DESCRIPTION:SUPER-lympics\nShow off your skills at MCM’s SUPER-lympics\, sponsored by Baptist\, on Saturday\, May 2nd!  \nStep inside MCM’s SUPER-lympic Village for a competition consisting of hands-on\, educational games promoting both physical and mental health! The day will kick off with our Opening Ceremony\, followed by MCM’s SUPER-lympic Games\, where children will focus on three priorities: physical activity\, healthy eating\, and social/emotional health. \nFor young children\, these physical activities will improve fine and gross motor skills\, spatial awareness\, and agility\, while older children will have the opportunity to increase their flexibility\, aerobic fitness\, and muscle strength. To encourage healthy eating\, children and caregivers can engage in hands-on activities in the Enchanted Land of Story surrounding healthy foods\, how they grow in the garden\, and how they taste. Programming components such as emotional regulation and character building will also be woven into activities throughout the event. The games will wrap up with a Closing Ceremony\, where the day’s participants will receive a medal. \nThrough this event\, MCM strives to:\n\nInspire children and families to implement easy\, healthy lifestyle habits through fun\, educational activities focusing on the benefits and importance of physical and mental health.\nEnhance accessibility and engagement between families and local healthcare providers.\nEmpower children and families with the knowledge and resources necessary to live a healthy lifestyle.\n\nKick off SUPER-lympics by signing up for our first annual Fun Run\, Spotter’s Splash & Dash!
