A growing body of research indicates that playing chess improves students’ problem-solving and critical thinking skills\, which directly translates to their math\, science\, and reading scores. \nUnrated Divisions:\n\nK-2\nK-4\nK-7\nK-12\n\nRated Divisions: (All Ages Welcome)\n\nU500\nU900\nOPEN\n\nFees:\n\n$20 Entry Fee for Tournament Participants (For both MCM Members & Non-Members)\n$5 for Each Accompanying Adult/Child (Free for MCM Members)\nAll entry fees increase by $5 for day-of registrants\nAll entry fees include access to all museum exhibits for the day\n\n*Children must be accompanied by an adult! \nPre-registration is recommended & appreciated.
