If you would like to be added to the waitlist\, email Courtney Crowe at courtney@mcm.ms.  \nThe Mississippi Children’s Museum – Meridian is thrilled to offer Babysitter Academy for teens\, a CPR & babysitting safety certification course designed by American Safety & Health Institute (HSI)! This course will take place April 13th from 9:00am – 2:00pm. \nCourse Details\n✓ Registration is $60.00/person\, which covers:   \n\nLunch\nDigital Certification Card(s)\nClass Supplies\n\n✓ Students must be 13-16 years old to register and attend. \n✓ By the end of the training\, students will have obtained the following certifications: \n\nHSI Adult/Infant/Child: CPR/AED\nHSI Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS)\n\n\nAbout HSI Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS)\n\n\n\n\nThe HSI Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS) program gives teenagers and young adults everything they need to know for safe and successful babysitting. HSI CABS teaches how to start a babysitting business\, interact with parents and children\, and provides important safety and first aid information using the latest 2020 guidelines. \n\nAbout HSI Adult/Infant/Child: CPR/AED\nCourse topics include: \n\nSudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA)\nCPR and Defibrillation\nChain of Survival\nAssessment & Chest Compressions\nRescue Breathing & Using a CPR Mask\nUsing an AED\nRelief of Choking\n\n\nAbout your instructor\n\n\nCourtney Crowe\, MCM-Meridian Director of Museum Experiences \nCourtney has been an HSI Level 1 Instructor for the past 3 years. She is authorized to teach programs including Adult First Aid\, Pediatric First Aid\, CPR/AED All Ages\, Wilderness First Aid\, Bloodborne Pathogens\, Child and Babysitting Safety\, Use and Administration of Epinephrine Auto Injectors\, Oxygen\, Stop Life Threatening Bleeding. Courtney is also Certified Wilderness First Responder through the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS). \n  \nThis certification course is possible by a Community Foundation grant \n  \nREGISTRATION CLOSED\nThis course is full!
