SUMMARY:Visiting Artist Series: Cecelia Moseley
DESCRIPTION:Visiting Artist Series: Cecelia Moseley\nJoin us for our first Visiting Artist Series on Sunday\, October 3rd from 2-4 pm with Mississippi Artist\, Cecelia Moseley! \n  \n \nCecelia Moseley is an artist from Meridian\, MS who received her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Sculpture from The University of Mississippi Spring of 2020. Currently\, she is a MFA Sculpture candidate at Louisiana State University.  \nFor Cecelia\, creating art\, whether its sculptures or paintings\, has always played some part in her life. Being diagnosed with dyslexia at an early age\, she found it difficult to express herself through writing. Whenever she fails to express herself through words\, art helps her\, which is the one thing she loves the most about art. \nIn her work\, Cecelia is drawn to abstract and figurative compositions through fabricated steel and cast metals. Conceptually her sculptures are formed together to create a new way of expression and representation of the way many dyslexics see and process the world through learning.  \nIn addition to pursuing her MFA\, Cecelia enjoys being involved with an artist community through working with the Yoknapatawpha Arts Council and The University of Mississippi Sculpture department. When she isn’t making art\, she enjoys traveling\, spending time with friends and family\, sailing\, and photography.  \n  \nThe four-part Visiting Artist Series series is funded by a grant from the Community Foundation of East Mississippi \n
