Dr. Seuss’ Silly Birthday Celebration

Make plans to visit the Mississippi Children’s Museum (MCM) on Saturday, March 2 from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. for Dr. Seuss’ Silly Birthday! You’re invited to join us for a Seuss-inspired fantastic, fun day! You’ll get messy with ooey-gooey oobleck while learning fun science facts, explore the museum on a Seuss-themed scavenger hunt, and create your own Thing 1 or Thing 2 mask! Make your own Truffula Trees from the Lorax and test your skills at egg racing! Throughout the day, you’re invited to readings of Dr. Seuss books. Bring home memories and a photo of yourself with Dr. Seuss and Thing 1 and Thing 2! Join us for Lorax finger puppet making and a green eggs and Seuss kabob eating grand time!

Due to limited parking, guests are encouraged to ride the free shuttle bus from the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame and Museum/Smith Wills parking lot to MCM. Round trip, free transportation will be provided throughout the day. No reservation is required. All activities are included with $10 general admission or MCM membership.
