Red Rocket Café

MCM has a full service café on the entrance floor to fuel your fun as you discover the museum! Choose from sandwiches, pizza, crisp salads, fruit, and sweet treats. Seasonal specialties include pancakes, savory soups, and fresh produce items from the Literacy Garden.

The café’s hours are the same as the museum’s: 9:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday, 1:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday, and closed on Monday.

Louis LeFleur’s Trading Post

Looking for fun gifts to inspire the imagination? Look no further than Louis LeFleur’s Trading Post at the Mississippi Children’s Museum! We have toys for magicians, artists, and scientists of all ages. Our Trading Post staff will help you find the perfect gift for hours of fun and learning.  We also have gift registries available for birthday parties at the museum.

Museum admission is not required to shop in the Trading Post. Museum members receive 10% off in the Trading Post year round!

Beginning on November 10, 2016, join us at a new location in Highland Village in Jackson! Louis LeFleur’s Trading Post curated by the Mississippi Children’s Museum will be open from Thursday-Saturday, 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and Sunday from 1:00-6:00 p.m.  During the holiday season, Santa Claus will make special visits on Friday and Saturday mornings. Wheel Chair Accessibility

The Mississippi Children’s Museum is open and accessible to all. Elevators and wheel chair lifts are available for guests to explore the museum. Our staff is happy to assist guests with any disabilities or special needs. If someone in your party has special needs, please contact the museum in advance of your visit with any special requests that would help us facilitate your visit.

Nursing Room

We love our youngest visitors! In addition to family restrooms located on both levels of the museum with diaper changing stations, MCM has a private nursing room located on the lower level of the museum in the Express Yourself gallery.
