The Threefoot Art Festival

The Threefoot Art Festival is a celebration of fine art in the Queen City along 7th Street between the Meridian Museum of Art and City Hall. The festival features music, a children’s area, and one street over you can find the Earth’s Bounty Market. This year the Threefoot fest is on Saturday, April 1st. The time is 9:00 – 4:00.

Meridian Mini Maker Faire

Maker Faire is a gathering of fascinating, curious people who enjoy learning and who love sharing what they can do. From engineers to artists to scientists to crafters, Maker Faire is a venue for these “makers” to show hobbies, experiments, projects.

The Jimmie Rodgers Music Festival

The Jimmie Rodgers Music Festival is the oldest and longest running community festival in the state of Mississippi and one of the oldest music festivals in the United States. The festival is a showcase for contemporary artists of the Americana roots music genres of folk, bluegrass, country, gospel and blues. The festival was founded in 1953 when Hank Snow and Ernest Tubb spearheaded an effort to pay tribute to Jimmie Rodgers on the 20th anniversary of his death. Elvis Presley, Faith Hill and Merle Haggard have all appeared at the festival. Over the last two years, the show has featured performances by Jason Isbell, Steep Canyon Rangers, The Lone Bellow, Keller Williams, Lucinda Williams and many others. Held the first weekend of May in downtown Meridian on City Hall Green, the festival features two stages of music, a food court with Southern delicacies, a talent show and classic car show.
